Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating stand-up (Reach, Dock Stocker) and sit-down forklifts to pick, move, and stack equipment and supplies in a high-volume warehouse environment. This role requires adherence to Ricoh safety guidelines, accurate use of RFC scanners, and maintaining organized work areas. Training (80 hours) will be completed prior to independent operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Raymond stand-up forklifts, Toyota sit-down forklifts, and order pickers to move equipment and supplies efficiently.
- Pick and stack products to maximize each load and ensure order accuracy.
- Perform unloading and loading of shipments safely and efficiently.
- Use RFC scanners to track inventory and ensure proper documentation.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas at the end of each shift.
- Follow all Ricoh safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and dock operations as needed.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and escalate to technicians when necessary.
- Support warehouse operations by performing additional tasks such as inventory control, filing, or light maintenance.
- Deliver completed jobs and materials to designated customer locations as required.
- Participate in team activities to meet operational and productivity goals.
- Perform occasional temporary reception or administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum three years warehouse experience, including at least one year of stand-up forklift experience.
- Previous forklift certification (Reach, Dock Stocker, or Sit-down forklift) required.
- Experience using RF scanners for inventory management.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs; team lift required for items over 50 lbs.
- Physically able to perform duties including walking, standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong attention to safety and operational detail.
- Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office.
- Excellent verbal communication and teamwork skills.
