What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marking Associate position at Admiral Valve LLC?
CPV Manufacturing is an industrial valve manufacturer located in Kennett Square and we are looking for a Production Marking Associate to join our growing team. This position is primarily responsible for marking production material and assisting with other material handling and packaging functions as needed. Hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30am - 3:15pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setup, load and unload all production parts for Dot Peen and/or laser marking as required to achieve scheduled due dates while maintaining all quality and production standards
- Review paperwork to ensure parts are marked to correct standards
- Work closely with Inspection for quality review and adjust as needed
- Read drawings to determine location of marking on part
- Cross-train in other areas, including packaging, assembly, and testing
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by following standards and procedures, complies with quality regulations
- Accomplish manufacturing and organization mission by completing other related tasks as requested
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of related experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be detail oriented and possess high regard for quality and workmanship
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member
- Ability to prioritize assignments
- Able to follow written and oral assignments
- Ability to read blue prints
- Basic computer skills
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- This position is primarily on the Assembly floor where it can be noisy at times
- Must be able to wear proper PPE – safety toe shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection
- Ability to move around the manufacturing floor as well as sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
