Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Security Officer located in Silver Spring, MD. The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients and visitors by patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings and equipment, and permitting entry. Additional duties include reporting any irregularities, preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, and restraining trespassers.
Qualifications
- Experience in monitoring surveillance equipment and/or operating security systems
- Strong understanding of and adherence to safety protocols and procedures
- Excellent communication and observational skills
- Understanding of loss prevention techniques and trespasser protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work part-time on-site in Silver Spring, MD
- Punctuality, reliability, integrity, and ethical behavior
- Previous experience in the security industry is a plus
- First aid and CPR certification is a plus
