Job Description
Primary Location:
Worland, Wyoming
Responsible for evaluating and recommending benefit strategies and programs across the company. Administers all employee benefit programs with specific focus on Self-funded health insurance plan, employee insurance, 401(k), savings plans and employee satisfaction. Engage with internal and external business partners to develop and execute competitive and cost effective best-in-class, total rewards plan to attract and retain qualified, productive and positive workforce.
Develops procedures to assure maximum, cost effective coverage to company and employee. This position is also responsible for assuring thorough audits, reports and personal contact that company total rewards programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations. As needed, provides special guidance and assistance to all locations on various employee benefit plans.
Primary responsibilities
- Establish and Maintain effective working relationships with Internal and External Business Partners.
- Analyze and make recommendations for Benefit program design
- Partner with HR and Recruiting to improve recruitment and retention.
- Oversee competitive analysis of benefit plans and structure.
- Forecast impact on budget for benefit changes or changes in employee base.
- Engage in strategic planning for preparation M & A opportunities.
- Administer and manage all employee benefit plans.
- Oversee retirement and savings plans.
- Partner with Benefit vendors, consultants, Finance, Payroll Manager, Workday and HRIS system experts to analyze, plan and effectively organize all needed changes to systems, communications, plan documents, and functions
- Oversee strategies for company owned clinic and pharmacy; coordinate with Clinic staff to execute profitable and meaningful strategies and high service standards for all participants.
- Develop and review accountabilities for external benefit business partners
- Develop, coordinate and execute communication plans for benefit and compensation strategies and changes
- Interpret benefit policies and procedures to resolve employee questions and problems.
- Facilitate claims resolution processes for employees, dependents and beneficiaries
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge through continuing education, reviewing published materials, establishing professional networks and participating in professional organizational groups.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Build strong professional relationships and teams.
- Analyze complex financial information and benefit documents.
- Masters in Finance or related field with 3-5 years applied experience, or demonstrated equivalent in education and experience.
