AMS, Inc. is seeking a motivated Field Operations Coordinator to support our growing North American personnel certification program, the Architectural Glass and Metal Technician Certification Program. This role supports field operations by working directly for the AGMT Field Operations Manager to help lead a team of examiners who set up and run certification testing events for candidates across the United States and Canada.
Testing events include both written exams and hands-on evaluations using construction mockups designed to assess each candidate’s ability to meet certification requirements. The ideal candidate has construction field experience, follows direction well, is highly organized and detail-oriented, meets deadlines, and can work independently with minimal supervision. This position requires significant client interaction to coordinate testing event logistics and approximately two weeks of travel per month. The schedule offers some flexibility, as work can occur outside of typical hours to include weekends and compensation is negotiable.
Responsibilities
- Manage personnel during testing events
- Store, maintain, and organize test equipment
- Manage inventory for replacement parts, tools, and equipment
- Coordinate with client test locations and internal teams to schedule testing events
- Transport, set up, and tear down materials and equipment for testing events
- Examine and grade candidates’ performance
- Maintain test security and protect certification materials
Qualifications
- Minimum of an Associate degree required.
- Minimum of five years of experience in construction or an adjacent field
- Commercial Glazing experience is a significant plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with PDF, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Mechanical aptitude required
- Inventory management experience a plus
- Valid U.S. passport required
- Ability to travel outside the U.S. (Canada)
- Ability to lift and carry 70 lbs
- Welding experience is a plus
- Forklift certification is a plus
- OSHA 10 certification or higher is a plus.
- CDL a plus

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
