What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Coordinator position at Administration?
Special Education Coordinator:
Grant Funded 26-27 School Year (ONE YEAR ONLY)
Days: 197
Support to the director of special education and the special education department:
Districtwide:
- Assist with monitoring activities, audits, and legal matters to ensure compliance of special education services
- Assist with the coordination of special education services and programs across campuses: conduct observations, analyze data to determine program effectiveness, problem solve, and identify areas in need of improvement
- Assist with scheduling services, staffing, and resource allocation
- Provide training on legal requirements, program guidelines, and behavior supports Support and attend ARD committee meeting and staffings as required
- Support transition through the various systems of support (MTSS, 504, Special Education)
- Monitor discipline, days of removal, and provide guidance on manifestation determinations, disciplinary removals, and procedural safeguards
Elementary Level:
- Administrator support to HES (life skills, BTC)
- Serve as administrator during ARD meetings for HES (life skills, BTC) Facilitate ARD meetings in collaboration with diagnostician
- Perform T-Tess reviews/evaluations
- Support discipline matters
- Support staff and related supports (observations, attendance/coverage, discipline)
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
