Job Title:       Deputy Treasurer (Bonded Position)

Position:        Non-Exempt

Department:  Central Office

Reports To:    Business Manager

 

EMPLOYMENT STATUS:

Full-Time, 37.5 hours/week

 

SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting the Treasurer/HR Director as needed. Administers corporation document retention guidelines.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:

 

Assistant to the Treasurer: 

  1. Process claims and purchase orders
  2. Receive and distribute paperless invoicing
  3. Prepares daily deposits
  4. Responsible for monthly bank reconciliation
  5. Invoice for services provided per Corporation Contracts
  6. Monthly utility report

Payroll/HR Assistant:

  1. Processing all GKB CSD payroll
  2. Process payments for taxes, retirement, benefits, deductions, and needed invoices
  3. Process month-end payroll reconciliation, QTR End, Fiscal Year End, Year End, W2’s/W3’s/100R.
  4. Manage deductions and deduction fund accounts
  5. Complies with federal, state, and local legislation
  6. Assist with Willsub system, TalentEd, and Eventlink
  7. Help staff with questions

Computer Repair Accounts Receivable: 

  1. Maintains and file paid and unpaid invoices of computer repair
  2. Compile and submit delinquent accounts to collections

Document Retention:

  1. Maintains and updates necessary files
  2. Coordinates document destruction with building secretaries
  3. Submits forms for destruction

Asset and Inventory Management:

  1. Oversee the organization of auction of surplus/disposed assets
  2. Oversee the organization of auction of surplus/disposed assets
  3. Review and process monthly new asset report
  4. Submit inventory updates to Asset Control Systems as needed

Other duties may be required or assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED required. Experience in Microsoft Office suite. Ability to establish trusted relationships with all levels of the organization, including maintaining confidentiality of student/corporation information. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

None.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, etc.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Requires ability to resolve routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher levels.

 

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in a specific field.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community.  Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication.  Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to walk and use fingers, tools, or controls.  The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The employee is continuously required to meet deadlines with time constraints, interact with the public and other staff.

Salary : $45,000 - $50,000
