Support Specialist - Foundation - Lindbergh Schools

Summary: The Lindbergh Schools Foundation Support Specialist will provide support to the Lindbergh Schools Foundation and its partner organizations, in coordination with the district Communications Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide direct support to the Foundation Director.
- Maintain the foundation’s donor database, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, alumni database, and online giving platform.
- Classify, sort, and file correspondence, mail, and other related data.
- Monitor and order foundation office supplies, stationary, and promotional materials, ensuring inventory is properly stocked and organized.
- Answer phone calls and electronic messages, take and route messages, and respond appropriately to requests for information.
- Manage the Foundation Director's calendar, schedule meetings, and assist with processing the Director's expense reports or foundation credit card reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation, coordination, room bookings, and scheduling of meetings and events as necessary.
- Oversee the production of all promotional mailings, as well as print and electronic communication pieces related to the foundation.
- Create and submit reports using various database systems and other software programs.
- Compose and prepare requested reports and correspondence for the Foundation.
- Assist the foundation’s accounting services provider by accurately entering and maintaining day-to-day financial data, including processing vendor invoices, collecting W-9s, and submitting payment requests to the accounting services provider.
- Process incoming donor checks and prepare corresponding bank deposits.
- Assign appropriate accounting codes to all revenue and expenses to ensure accurate financial tracking and compliance.
- Manage the donor acknowledgment workflow, drafting and mailing timely thank-you letters to foundation supporters.
- Support marketing, communication, and public relations efforts for the foundation.
- Collaborate with the Foundation Director to plan and execute special events including Community Breakfast, Homecoming Week events, Flyer Family Fund Breakfast, Giving Tuesday and Give STL Day Events, Alumni Trivia Night, and Foundation Scholarship Day.
- Attend committee meetings at the board’s request.
- Administer the logistical workflow for the Foundation Innovation Grant program, from initial teacher communications and committee support through the ordering and delivery of grant items.
- Support the Spring Foundation Online Auction by assisting the event chair, coordinating logistics, and managing the online auction software.
- Support the Foundation Scholarship Program.
- Provide necessary support for alumni relations including, but not limited to: maintenance of the alumni database and rosters, publication of class reunion information, support for communications, and other related items.
- Maintain flexibility with working hours to assist with and/or attend occasional LSF events after normal business hours and/or on weekends.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the President of the Lindbergh Schools Foundation, Lindbergh Schools Foundation Director, and Chief Communications Officer of Lindbergh Schools.

Education and/or Experience: A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred, preferably in public relations, business administration, communications, marketing or nonprofit management. A successful candidate will have experience working with a donor database. Experience working with nonprofit boards of directors preferred.
