In juvenile justice, ACS oversees detention, placement and programs for youth in the community.
The Division of Youth and Family Justice (DYFJ) provides a wide range of services and programs for youth at every stage of the juvenile justice process. Our goals are to (a) build stronger and safer communities and advance public safety by preventing juveniles from entering the New York City's juvenile justice system, (b) provide therapeutic treatment and services to youth in our custodial care, and (c) help juveniles access the tools they need to leave the justice system for good. We strive to help families and young people by providing supportive services that are responsive to the needs of individual youth and families.

Additionally, the Office oversees DYFJ's human resources, budget planning and management, contract management and information technology management activities. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work supporting New York City’s youth justice system, while gaining hands-on experience in contract management, interagency collaboration, and program performance monitoring.
Under general supervision, the Procurement Coordinator will support contract and quality assurance functions across a portfolio of youth justice programs. They play a key role in supporting program oversight, data tracking, and coordination with contracted providers to promote high-quality services for youth in DYFJ’s continuum of care.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Collect, collate and compile data/information in order to prepare and maintain current records.
- Track and report the status of all procurement and financial actions within the Division.
- Assist with special projects, which may include grant preparation or monitoring.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders using various platforms, including email, phone, and direct contact.
