Mill Utility - Spokane, WA

Position Summary:
  • Support mill needs with sanitation, prep and work PMs on mill repairs. Sub in for 2nd miller vacations.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Learn 2nd miller job duties fill in for vacations, call-ins.
  • Mill sanitation tasks, fix leaks create work orders for mill repairs.
  • Work sifters, change rolls, work on Mill Pm’s.
  • Prep sifter screens (clean, glue new screens and keep inventory)
Required Skills:
  • Safety/food quality minded, positive attitude, willingness to learn, work team environment,
  • Able to communicate via radio, read, write some pc skills, some mechanical skills.
  • Climb a ladder, follow instructions and read flow charts.
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma.
Required Experience:
  • Sanitation, cleaning
  • Manufacturing environment
Desired Experience:
  • Food manufacturing
  • Industrial manufacturing environment
  • Worked shift schedule

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay for this position is expected to be:

$24.07

The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents.

Employees will also receive: a minimum of 20 hours of vacation per year, which will increase as years of service increases, 40 hours of paid sick leave will be provided annually on January 1, 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and 1 personal holiday through the calendar year for colleagues with at least 6 months of continuous service. Eligible employees may also take up to 4 weeks of paid parental leave. Eligible employees may also take up to 26 weeks of short-term disability and transition to long-term disability, if applicable.
