Commercial Architect / Designer
This position has overall responsibility for the design, quality and client satisfaction of commercial projects in education, municipal, aviation and corporate markets.
Commercial Architect / Designer – Responsibilities
Responsible for the conceptual design of projects and ensuring the design is followed through to the completion of the project.
Work closely with the project manager and/or director to understand project objectives and produce feasibility studies, site plan design concept sketches, 2D/3D exterior design concept sketches, detailed site design, detailed exterior building elevations and wall sections, and presentation graphics.
Commercial Architect / Designer – Qualifications
We are looking for an individual that has experience with commercial markets including Education, Commercial Office, and Aviation. Our clients mandate very short timeframes for production, therefore candidates must be able to succeed in a fast-paced office environment and manage details for multiple projects simultaneously.
Professional degree (Master or Bachelor) of Architecture preferred.
8-10 years’ experience in the architecture field.
Professional Architectural License required.
Demonstrated leadership with project teams, including training other employees.
Experience with the full project lifecycle.
Knowledge of building codes, standards and structures.
Proven fiscal accountability and responsibility on past projects.
Ability to handle difficult situations with tact.
Adept at maintaining existing client relationships and building new ones.
Good communication and management skills.
High level knowledge of Revit, BIM 360, AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, Lumion 3D and Microsoft PowerPoint.
