Stevenson High School (Lincolnshire, IL) is seeking a Data Science Club Sponsor for the 2026-2027 school year.
Position Overview:
The Data Science Club Sponsor supports a student-led organization focused on helping students explore, understand, and apply data science to real-world problems. The club emphasizes analytical thinking, collaboration, and practical application through projects, discussions, and workshops. The sponsor’s role is to guide, supervise, and support students as they develop skills and take ownership of the club’s direction. Specific technical or data science expertise is not required.
Student Support and Guidance:
- Collaborate with student leaders to develop and communicate clear goals for the club and its activities
- Support students in planning meetings, projects, workshops, and creative work sessions aligned with the club’s mission
- Model and teach skills related to collaboration, problem-solving, and creative iteration
- Encourage balance by recognizing students’ academic responsibilities and commitments outside the club
Community, Learning, and Collaboration:
- Foster an environment that encourages creativity, experimentation, and inclusive participation
- Support students as they explore both artistic and technical approaches to digital creation
- Collaborate with sponsors of other clubs and programs to promote interdisciplinary learning and shared experiences
- Build positive relationships within the Stevenson community, including students, sponsors, administrators, and families
Professional Practice & Role Modeling:
- Serve as a positive role model in personal management, ethics, and behavior
- Reinforce responsible use of digital tools, technology, and creative platforms
- Connect club experiences to broader life skills such as teamwork, communication, and perseverance

Salary and Benefits:
Hourly pay
- External Candidate will be paid $17 per hour
- Current Faculty, please refer to the current Agreement
- Current Support Staff will be paid at your current hourly rate.
