Duties
- Install, wire, and maintain industrial and commercial electrical systems in accordance with electrical blueprints, schematics, and building codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters, ammeters, and multimeters; perform troubleshooting to identify faults efficiently.
- Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring and ensure proper operation of motor control equipment and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Perform routine electrical maintenance on industrial motors, low voltage systems, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately for installation and repair projects.
- Follow all electrical safety procedures and NFPA 70 compliance standards to maintain a safe work environment.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction site equipment skillfully while maintaining safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with strong industrial and commercial electrician background.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
- Familiarity with high-voltage wiring, motor control equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial motor maintenance.
- Strong understanding of electrical building codes such as NEC and NFPA 70 standards.
- Experience working on construction sites with construction experience preferred.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of low voltage systems, electrical safety procedures, and blueprint reading is essential.
