Job Description: MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Report To: Plant Manager
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The basic functions of the Maintenance Manager will include electrical trouble shooting, electronic trouble shooting, diagnosing and resolving all operations related problems. Job incumbent will be responsible for general facility maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS
Education
Required: AS/BS Degree in Electrical, Controls, Mechanical, Reliability and/or equivalent experience.
Preferred: BS Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Controls, Mechanical, Reliability) and/or equivalent experience.
Experience
Required: 5 years in manufacturing maintenance
5 years supervision in a maintenance setting
3-5 years Organization Leadership/Supervision
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Knowledge of production and maintenance, including electrical, controls, and automation with the skills to troubleshoot, determine root cause, and drive corrective and preventative actions. Knowledge to support and maintain regulatory/governing body audits and compliance. Ability to work closely with groups of people, including company employees at all levels, suppliers, sub-contractors, and outside professionals with whom the company deals on a routine basis.
RESPONSIBILITY AND DUTIES
· Supervise preventative maintenance inspections through iMaint (Maintenance Management System)
· Supervise/assist with timely completion of corrective maintenance work orders
- Conduct safety compliance inspections and maintain records of production equipment
- Ability to resolve issues with cross departmental teams
- Optimize equipment uptime
- Analyze equipment failures, determine root cause with corrective & preventive actions
- Ensure company facilities, including buildings and grounds, are maintained to company standards
- Maintain fire system and LOTO program
- Maintain critical and wear item spare part inventory
- Respond to property insurance carriers’ recommendations
- Provide technical and troubleshooting support
- Interface with outside contractors/suppliers
- Maintain compliance with all maintenance related IATF-16949 & ISO140001 standards, improvements, and audit requirements
- Responsible for maintenance and janitorial personnel
- Facilitate new equipment installation, building, and/or grounds projects
- Maintain good working partnership with suppliers and vendors
- Air compressor systems
- Cooling Tower/Chiller systems
- Facility maintenance – exhaust, lighting, electrical systems – switch gear, building inspections – roof, warehouse doors/docks
- Plastic machine (injection/blow molding) troubleshooting mechanical/electrical problems
- Material loader system experience
- Develop PM’s for all assets in the facility – schedule and ensure completion of PM’s
- Develop a Predictive culture vs Reactive culture
- Develop plans to improve/replace aged or obsolete equipment
