As our Project Optimization Specialist, you’ll be the go-to for leading projects that make our medical practices run smoother, smarter, and more patient-friendly. You’ll work closely with both clinical and administrative teams, analyzing workflows, identifying improvements, and bringing solutions to life. From streamlining scheduling and patient flow to improving billing and supporting our EMR systems, your work will directly shape how we deliver care.
What you’ll do:
- Lead cross-functional project teams and bring clinical and administrative groups together.
- Assess workflows—spotting bottlenecks and inefficiencies by observing processes and talking with staff.
- Develop and roll out strategies to simplify processes, reduce redundancies, and improve patient and staff experiences.
- Collect, analyze, and share data to guide project decisions and measure results.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to make sure projects hit the mark.
- Help teams smoothly adopt new processes and improvements.
- Share progress and outcomes with stakeholders in a clear and engaging way.
What we’re looking for:
- A bachelor’s or associate degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field (preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in practice management, healthcare operations, or a similar role. (LEAN or Six Sigma certification = big plus!)
- Familiarity with the Greater New York Area, including Long Island, the Five Boroughs and parts of the Hudson Valley, as this is where you’ll be traveling to.
- Knowledge of healthcare operations and workflows.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills—you’ll work with a lot of different people.
- Data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to present complex information in a simple way.
- Familiarity with practice management systems (AthenaOne experience is a bonus).
- A natural multitasker who can prioritize and stay organized.
- Someone who thrives on collaboration, problem-solving, and has a positive, “let’s make it happen” attitude.
What to expect:
This role involves plenty of teamwork, computer work, and some travel across the greater New York area (about 30% of the time) to visit different sites and see projects in action.

Salary - Salary Plan, 85,000.00 USD Annual
