Dynamic apparel company seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven Production Manager to join the team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production process to ensure products are manufactured on time, and according to our quality standards. This role manages factory execution, production timelines, vendor communication, and cross-functional coordination between sourcing, merchandising, technical design, raw materials, and QA. Experience in apparel manufacturing required. Experience working with major retailers such as Walmart and Sam's Club preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Execution
- Manage seasonal production calendars and ensure all milestones are achieved
- Oversee WIP tracking, production status, and shipment execution
- Ensure timely execution from PO issuance through final shipment
- Identify and resolve production delays, bottlenecks, and risk areas proactively
Factory & Vendor Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for factories regarding production status and execution
- Build strong relationships with overseas vendors and manufacturing partners
- Conduct regular production meetings with factories to review timelines, approvals, and shipment readiness
- Evaluate factory performance based on quality, delivery, compliance, and responsiveness
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner closely with Raw Materials team on fabric/trims readiness, Technical Design on fit/sample approvals, QA/Compliance on inspections and corrective actions, Logistics team on booking and shipping schedules and Merchandising/Sales teams on customer priorities and delivery expectations
- Escalate issues and provide solutions to leadership in a timely manner
Timeline & Critical Path Management
- Maintain and update T&A calendars and WIP reports
- Ensure approvals, testing, lab dips, fabrics, trims, and bulk production stay on schedule
- Drive accountability internally and externally to hit customer ship dates
Quality & Compliance
- Work closely with QA teams to maintain product quality standards
- Support CAPA implementation and factory improvement initiatives
- Ensure factories comply with customer requirements and company standards
Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare weekly production status reports and KPI dashboards
- Track on-time delivery, quality metrics, factory performance, and production efficiency
- Analyze data to improve operational performance and reduce risk
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Production, Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related field preferred
- 5–10 years of production management experience in apparel or consumer goods
- Strong knowledge of global manufacturing and sourcing operations
- Experience working with overseas factories and vendors
- Strong understanding of production timelines, garment construction, fabrics, and trims
- Proficiency in Excel and production tracking tools
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
- Experience managing production across multiple countries and regions
- Familiarity with compliance programs, AQL standards, and factory audits
- Experience using PLM systems and production KPI dashboards
