Senior Director, Information Technology

At Aditum Bio our mission is to give patients access to medicines that may not otherwise be developed. Co-founded by industry veterans Joe Jimenez, former CEO of Novartis and Mark Fishman, former President of the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research, the firm in-licenses promising therapies that for some reason are not advancing toward the clinic.  The firm focuses on the translational phase of medicine (Phase I and Phase II) to generate data that can support full clinical development, and eventual market launch, to reach patients in need.

Position Summary 

Aditum Bio is seeking a Senior Director & Head of Information Technology to own the oversight, strategy and implementation of Aditum Bio’s corporate information technology and systems. The Head of IT will enable highly efficient and secure business operations, working closely with leadership, portfolio companies, our development teams and service providers.

Position Responsibilities

• Ensure that information technology infrastructure is available, secure and compliant, enabling seamless business continuity and efficiency for the company and its associates.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of critical systems such as Azure Active Directory, SharePoint, hardware systems and all clinical SaaS programs.
• Design, develop and deploy the company’s IT strategy in partnership with key internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Manage IT licenses portfolio
• Develop functional plans for managing information technology and security for the company, including activities to be performed in-house or through third-party relationships to best manage the company’s information systems. Evaluate opportunities for strategic outsourcing versus building internal capabilities and determine key inflection points.
• Provide first line support for critical systems and/or users
• Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g. Legal) to ensure compliant IT policies that support regulations such as CFR Part 11 and GDPR.
• Manage Aditum Bio’s IT budget

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology or related field of study
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in IT management, preferably within a fast-paced biotech environment
• Experience managing functions such as information systems, computer operations, network systems, data warehousing, telecommunications, enterprise wide systems, applications programming and internal systems programming.
• Experience overseeing the acquisition and maintenance of enterprise IT equipment.
• Knowledge of life sciences industry and the drug development process
• Demonstrated experience in contingency planning, disaster preparedness, and development of policies supporting regulatory requirements
• A “no job is too small” attitude, with a willingness to serve as a helpdesk contact for employees and develop a strategic, long-term vision for the company’s IT systems
• Ability to provide practical, business-oriented solutions
• Ability to analyze and communicate complex IT issues and solutions to non-technical stakeholders

The range for this full-time position is $315,000 - 365,000 dependent on experience, plus a target bonus, equity compensation and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401k. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The range displayed on our postings reflects the minimum and maximum for new hire salaries. Within the range, individual pay is determined by interview performance, job-related skills, experience and relevant education and training.
