Payrate: $36.00 - $40.00/hr.
Summary:
The main function of a software QA engineer is to research and test the design, functionality and maintenance of software, systems and processes and develop quality standards. A typical software QA engineer has the ability to read and interpret technical languages including but not limited to Javascript, C , etc.
Responsibilities:
- Review and test written logical database descriptions and identifiers.
- Analyses software programs for bugs and errors in written code, through the conducting of system tests and requirement checks.
- Facilitate the maintenance and repair to software programs when bugs arise.
- May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application.
- Coordinate testing activities.
- Develop automation scripts using open source tools.
Skills:

- Ability to read and write software code, performance analytics, and systems software.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and make changes as needed to resolve issues
- Knowledge of computer development software as it relates to systems, such as SQL, VisualBasic, etc.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required.
- 0-2 years experience required.
Requirements:
- 7 QA experience in Android only - preferably testing network applications
- OMADM knowledge is preferred
- QA from Android Mobile Device OEMs are preferred
- QA worked in Client's FOTA/SDM requirements are preferred
- Understanding of project core concepts in short time
- Carrier requirements and test plans analysis; provides feedback on test coverage; raises clarifications;
- Develop manual custom test plan mapped to requirements; also develops miscellaneous test plans to address OS specific, device specific new features/products
- Perform manual execution of carrier, custom test plans and logging issues in tracking tools
- Takes necessary adb, dumpstate, modem/QXDM logs and shares it with device leads
- provide regular status reports on progress, documentation
- In constant interaction with development leads and device leads governing new features/functionalities introduced
- Performs functional, UI, regression tests;
- Involves in automation of test suites as needed

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $36.00 - $40.00/hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
