Summary:
The main function of a quality engineer is to research and test the design, functionality and maintenance of products, equipment, systems and processes and develop quality standards. A typical quality engineer has the ability perform manual feature behavior tests, automate tests with basic scripts, propose solutions after troubleshooting system behavior, and evaluate product integrity to international and internal quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
- May write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
- May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative applications.
- Engage and mentor other team members in measuring and testing products and tabulating data concerning materials, products, or process quality and reliability.
Skills:
- Perform analysis on test data and propose solutions when features do not meet the test criteria.
- Team player and detail oriented.
- Basic leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- 5-7 years’ experience required.
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $30.00 - $35.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
