Summary:
This position involves providing onsite deskside support at the Waterloo, IA location. The role includes a variety of responsibilities related to maintaining and troubleshooting computer and networking systems. The position requires working the 2nd shift (2:30 pm to 11:00 pm) from Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend on-call duties.
Responsibilities
- Perform and monitor standard processes or operations such as imaging computers, replacing printer toner, disposing of outdated assets, and resolving trouble tickets from ServiceNow queues.
- Document information by updating assets in Asset Center, following knowledge base (KB) articles for problem resolution, and adhering to unit-specific processes.
- Handle effective email communications and create and maintain basic documents and records, including contact lists, process logs, problem incidence reports, customer information updates, and inventory or service records.
- Recognize and resolve problems with pre-established and documented solutions, and report issues that fall outside the scope of established procedures.
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and data supporting processes or operations, including scheduling routine equipment maintenance, ordering supplies, monitoring inventory, updating data records, and interacting with suppliers.
- Apply technical knowledge in supporting processes or operations, such as understanding basic printer operations and troubleshooting end-user tickets by following KB articles.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of computing and networking concepts and fundamentals.
- Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office, as well as intranet and internet functions.
- Knowledge of computer security policies and general computer security concepts.
- 1 year or more of IT experience preferred, though recent college graduates will be considered.
Skills
- Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience. A high school or secondary diploma or equivalent is required.
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $25.00 - $25.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
