Summary:
The position involves providing onsite deskside Tier support at the Engine Works site. The role includes a weekend on-call rotation and may require overtime. Some travel between Waterloo area locations is possible, and metatarsals are required on the first day.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and monitor standard processes or operations that are consistent and stable, such as imaging computers, replacing printer toner, disposing of outdated assets, and resolving trouble tickets from ServiceNow queues.
- Document and distribute information, including updating assets in Asset Center, following KB articles for problem resolution, and adhering to unit-specific processes.
- Ensure effective email communications and maintain basic documents/records such as contact lists, process logs, problem incidence reports, customer information updates, exterior ship orders, and inventory or maintenance records.
- Identify and resolve problems with supported processes/operations using pre-established and documented solutions; report issues outside the scope of established procedures.
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and data supporting processes or operations, including scheduling routine equipment maintenance, ordering supplies, monitoring inventory, updating data records, and interacting with suppliers.
- Apply technical knowledge to support processes or operations, such as understanding basic printer operations to replace toner and pickup rollers, and troubleshooting end-user tickets by following KB articles.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of computing and networking concepts and fundamentals.
- Proficiency in using standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office, as well as intranet and internet functions.
- Understanding of computer security policies and general knowledge of computer security concepts.
- 1 year or more of IT experience preferred, but recent college graduates will be considered.
Desired Skills:
- Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience.
- High School or secondary diploma or equivalent.
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $24.00 - $24.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
