What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Manager position at Adirondack Plastics and Recycling?
Adirondack Plastics & Recycling is in search of an experienced Floor Manager to oversee the entire manufacturing floor and be the liaison between the floor and the office to help our operations move more efficiently and effectively.
At Adirondack Plastics we grind post-industrial plastics that are then sold and used to create new products. With waste in landfills on the rise, we help to divert landfill waste by recycling plastics!
We are looking for someone to join our team that will be responsible for:
· Shipping and receiving (loading and unloading)
· Assist in production planning
· Daily preparation of machinery
· Inventory control
· Overseeing information transfer between the manufacturing floor and the office
· Monitoring machine and associated equipment maintenance
· Helping troubleshoot problems regarding the machinery
Qualifications and Skills
· Experience in paper and plastics manufacturing ideal
· Previous warehouse experience
· Understanding of safety rules
· Basic understanding of using a tablet
· Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Ability to stand for long periods of time
· Forklift experience a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
