About the Job
- Working 1:1 or in a small group with individuals diagnosed with Autism ages 0-22.
- Part-time (3-7p) or Full-time (9-7p) positions available.
- Starting pay at $20/hour (direct service) with the potential to earn more with additional experience and certifications obtained.
- NYS Minimum wage ($16/hour) for indirect service/administrative hours.
- Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies and programming within an individualized treatment plan under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Implement behavior plans across various settings (i.e., clinic, home, school or community) in order to decrease target behaviors and increase replacement behaviors.
- Support with daily living routines, including, but not limited to: toileting, hygiene and personal care.
- Facilitate and assist in training others to implement ABA procedures and strategies with fidelity outside of session times.
- Communicate respectfully, clearly and kindly with coworkers, supervisors and families on a regular basis.
- Daily data collection.
- Private and confidential record-keeping of all clinical activities.
- Attend team meetings as scheduled by the Clinical Director.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Willing to travel 15-60m to deliver services to clients.
- Mileage reimbursement ($.73/mile) between appointments.
- Reliable access to WiFi if the need arises to deliver Telehealth services to clients and families.
- iPad provided by Adirondack ABA.
Requirements of the Job
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Successfully pass a criminal background check.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- The ability to move efficiently and comfortably in the following ways: stand, sit, walk, run, kneel, crouch and push, pull, lift, or place items up to 35lbs.
- A reliable means of travel, ideally a valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle.
- Obtaining and maintaining a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
