What are the responsibilities and job description for the Merchandise Planner & Buyer position at Adina Eden?
Merchandise Planner — Adina Eden | Brooklyn, NY
Adina Eden is a fast-growing jewelry and hair accessories brand with a strong DTC presence across Shopify, TikTok Shop, Whatnot, and beyond. We're looking for a data-driven Merchandise Planner to own our product performance, inventory strategy, and buying direction as we scale our ecomm business.
About the Role
You'll be the person who knows what's selling, what's not, and what we should be doing about it. You'll sit at the center of our ecomm operation — turning sales data into replenishment decisions, clearance calls, and product direction that feeds directly into what we buy and build next.
What You'll Do
- Analyze DTC sales performance across Shopify, TikTok Shop, and Whatnot — by collection, category, and SKU
- Identify top-performing styles to restock and underperformers to mark down or exit
- Manage Open-to-Buy and make replenishment recommendations based on real-time inventory and demand
- Partner directly with our designer to share what's resonating with customers and what to build into next season
- Monitor inventory levels and flag stockouts, slow movers, and excess before they become problems
- Make sure new styles are being promoted and that the right products are getting visibility at the right time
- Keep operations running smoothly — orders moving, inventory accurate, nothing slipping
Who You Are
- 2–5 years in ecomm merchandising, DTC planning, or buying — fashion, jewelry, or accessories preferred
- Comfortable with sell-through analysis, OTB, and data-driven assortment decisions
- Strong in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with Shopify analytics a plus
- Able to turn numbers into clear recommendations for creative and ops teams
- Entrepreneurial — you take ownership, move fast, and don't wait to be told what needs fixing
- Bonus if you have experience with live commerce (TikTok Shop, Whatnot) or off-price channels
