Medical Records

Responsibilities:

• Tracking Daily Patient Census
• Active Unit Patient Chart Monitoring
• New Patient Admission Chart/Paperwork
• Close Discharge Patient Records
• Send Closed Records to Iron Mountain (storage)
• Fill Legal Requests, Medical Examiner Requests, Social Service Requests, Disability Determination Services Requests (DDS)
• Purge Patient Charts on Units (monthly)
• Filing of Patient Forms
• Maintain Patient Records
• Take Patient Photos
• Make Patient ID Bands
• Request Supplies for Office

Required Experience

• 1–2 years in health information management or medical records.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
• Experience with EHR systems for admissions/discharges.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage physical records and meet daily/weekly deadlines.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Immunization/Medical documents are required.

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 per week
