What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronic Technician position at Adient?
We’re looking for a skilled technician to support and maintain electrical, electronic, and automated systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic equipment
- Program and maintain PLCs (Allen-Bradley required)
- Support and troubleshoot FANUC robots and VFDs
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
- Read schematics and technical documentation
- Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in an electronic/electrical maintenance technician role.
Strong experience in:
- PLC troubleshooting/programming (Allen‑Bradley required)
- Robotics - FANUC experience required
- VFDs
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Experience repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical/electronic systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, electronic, mechanical, and automation systems.
Preferred
- Experience with Siemens or Mitsubishi PLCs
- Test system integration experience
Work Environment
- 2nd Shift (2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.)
- Fast-paced, hands-on role requiring personal tools
