We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Manager, Financial & SEC Reporting to join our Corporate Finance team. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Financial Reporting & Consolidations and plays a critical role in the preparation and execution of both internal and external financial reporting for a publicly traded company.
This position is highly visible within the organization, with regular interaction with senior leadership including the CFO, CAO, and Controller. The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, deep familiarity with SEC reporting requirements, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Resideo Technologies has announced its intention to spin off ADI Global Distribution and establish it as a separate, publicly traded company. Under this plan, ADI will continue its role as a leading global wholesale distributor serving commercial and residential markets, while Resideo will retain its manufacturing and product-solutions business. For example, the hiring salary for this role in Melville, NY is $144174.55 to $215101.09 per year and New York City, NY is $150181.82 to $224063.64 . Within a range, Resideo determines base pay for an individual based on various factors, including market conditions, skills, and experience.
Incentive Eligible (RBP) : This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus of up to 10% of the annual base salary. The bonus is contingent upon both individual and company performance.

JOB DUTIES:
- Manage the preparation, review, and filing of SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other required filings.
- Draft and review financial statements, footnotes, and Management’s Discussion & Analysis (MD&A). Assist in the preparation of earnings releases and investor presentations.
- Support quarterly and annual financial reporting processes, including preparation and review of reporting packages and supporting documentation.Maintain and enhance reporting templates, checklists, and documentation standards.
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs and ensure timely completion of disclosure checklists, supporting schedules, and executive certifications. Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Tax, Treasury, and Investor Relations to gather inputs and ensure alignment across reporting deliverables.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for financial reporting tools (e.g., Workiva), including document preparation, data management, and SEC filing submission. Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control over financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with SEC regulations and U.S. GAAP disclosure requirements, including XBRL tagging and validation. Serve as a key resource on SEC reporting, disclosure requirements, and non-GAAP measures.
- Partner with Technical Accounting to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and disclosures for complex transactions.
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards and disclosure requirements.
- Assist with the preparation or review of select monthly close activities, including certain balance sheet reconciliations, analytics, and disclosure-related accounting and reporting activities.
- Partner with Controllership and Consolidations teams to analyze financial results and support executive reporting.
- Execute and review key SOX controls related to financial reporting and disclosures.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and improve the overall control environment.
- Participate in special projects, including system implementations, process transformations, and strategic transactions
- Manage and develop direct report(s), providing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- CPA license (active)
- 7 years of relevant experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or public company financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting and disclosure requirements
- Experience preparing or reviewing Forms 10-K and 10-Q
- Experience with Workiva or similar SEC reporting software (preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization
