ADG Architecture, a full service architectural and interior design firm, is seeking a Director of Project Management. Our company is rapidly growing, and we are looking for the right individual to join, lead and support our team. The individual will provide (1) practice guidance in strategic planning and team leadership; (2) the ideal candidate will serve the community as a liaison with regards to collaboration, recruiting, and business development; (3) daily responsibilities include the management of the firm, preparing project schedules and budgets, and mentoring younger staff; (4) coordination of the project team and managing staff work assignments; (5) developing relationships with future clients, while consulting with them; (6) advising staff during project bidding, technical decisions, and participating in the development of design solutions.
Essential functions and responsibilities include:
- Entrepreneurial
- Self-motivated and team oriented
- Foster new client relationships to enhance practice growth in the southwest Florida region.
- Consult with clients to evaluate their desires/needs and develop designs that meet their goals.
- Oversee the design process to ensure quality in creative and technical design solutions.
- Communicate information with clients and project team members/consultants to ensure project objectives are met.
- Meet with contractors to convey building design intentions, resolve problems, and answer questions.
- Coordinate with engineering consultants regarding design and interaction of systems
- Prepare project proposal and contracts.
- Must be results oriented, able to manage multiple team members involved with multiple complex projects.
- Ability to research and apply building codes, planning, and zoning regulations, and similar standards.
- Capable of developing schedule(s) and budget(s) for multiple projects
- Research products and technologies and assess applicability to a project or design problem.
- Organize file and project documents in accordance with ADG standards.
- Oversee staffing.
- Managing office budget to achieve revenue, growth, and profitability targets.
- Review monthly invoicing.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture
- Architecture licensure in Florida is required.
- 15 years project management as a registered architect
- Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven understanding of building design and tectonics
- Excellent listening and communication skills including public presentations.
- Must be a self-motivated team player with natural ability to establish good working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and team members.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Must be able to perform work related travel and hold a valid driver’s license.
- After hour activities may be required from time to time
