What are the responsibilities and job description for the US CNC Machine Operator (Day/Night Shifts) position at ADF?
A nightshift differential of $1.50 applies to any time worked past 4:30 pm
General Expectations and Responsibilities
- Follow ADF safety procedures and practices.
- Safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools.
- Can read and understand metric and standard tape measures.
- Able to run basic IPS operations.
- Print and organize per the proper paperwork.
- Basic understanding of reading/interpreting blueprints.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks for CNC equipment.
- Catch material imperfections in raw cutting material.
- Follow the order of material that their Foreman has posted.
- Log and track tooling used on each piece of equipment.
- Safely and efficiently run CNC equipment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Obtain ADF forklift certification.
Education, Training, or Work Experience
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency.
- Completion of a CNC Machinery training program preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand/walk for 10 hours at a time.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel for varying lengths of time.
- Ability to fully articulate shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist.
- Must be able to grasp and safely operate hand and power tools.
- Must be able to occasionally push, pull, lift, pull, or carry up to 75lbs.
- Must be able to work in various conditions (loud, hot, dusty, cold, etc.).
- Must be able to occasionally ascend/descend on ladder.
