Get a sneak peek into life at ADESA!Role and TeamReporting to the Lot Manager or other designated manager, assist with the outside functions to support lot movements and general operations to support auction activities before, during, and after sale day.ResponsibilitiesAssist in assuring vehicle inventory is in the proper designated areas of the lot or shops. Apply appropriate numbering and tagging for lot and shop identificationLocate, number and move vehicles to designated area on the LotConfirm vehicle mileage, make year and VINCommunicate with shop and operations teams to ensure an efficient flow of inventory from vehicle check in, inspections, shops and auction sale line until vehicle is checked outAssist with physical inventory on a periodic basisUse electronic devices to scan inventory and record movement of vehicles on propertyFlag vehicles, add final stickers, mark numbers on windshield and place on spot for the saleTake photos of vehicles as neededTrack missing units and assist with locating vehicles for customersUse PC to look up vehicle information and update vehicle dataMay ensure arbitrated units are restocked into inventory and proper announcements are madeMay identify and add/verify vehicle announcements and reports are accurate for pre-saleMay make basic vehicle diagnostic determinations to determine if a vehicle needs to be moved to the Mechanic ShopMay operate gas dollies, lock out tools, or jump packsMay coordinate a sale lane on sale dayAny other duties assigned by the designated managerSkills and AttributesTeam player who can collaborate well with multiple departments, customers and vendorsStrong customer service skillsProven ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detailProven ability to manage deliverables and metrics against aggressive targets and timelinesQualificationsHigh School diploma or GED preferredAutomotive/auction experience preferredAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentEffective interpersonal skillsHardworking, motivated team playerMust be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license that meets the requirementsAble to safely drive a variety of make/model/sizes of vehiclesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with computer systems and applicationsADESA Benefits and PerksCompetitive Pay | Quality Benefits | Holiday and Paid Time Off | Education and Equipment Reimbursement Programs | Matching 401(k) | Career Path Opportunities | And More!Other RequirementsTo be able to do your job at ADESA, there are some basic requirements we want to share with you.
