Hourly Rate: $35 / hour
Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Property Maintenance Technician to join our team and support the Site Property Maintenance Manager at a condominium housing project in Pasadena, CA. This position is responsible for assisting with daily maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections to ensure the property remains safe, clean, and in excellent condition for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- General Maintenance & Repairs
- Assist with routine maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
- Complete minor repairs in units and common areas under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
- Help with preventative maintenance schedules and inspections.
- Assist to address punch list work items in
- Owner Architect Punch lists
- Pre-Closing Orientation Walks
- Closing Orientation Walks
- Property Upkeep
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of common areas (hallways, lobbies, parking, landscaping, amenities).
- Perform routine checks of building systems and report issues to the Maintenance Manager.
- Work with Sales to prepare model units, repair building systems or aesthetic inconsistencies
- Resident Support
- Respond to resident maintenance requests with professionalism and timeliness to the Customer Service Team or in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager.
- Vendor & Safety Support
- Help coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as directed.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, and report any hazards or incidents immediately.
- Tools & Supplies
- Maintain proper use of tools and equipment.
- Track supplies and notify the Maintenance Manager when inventory needs replenishing.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of maintenance, facilities, or construction experience (residential or multifamily preferred).
- Basic knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry).
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or with supervision.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, bending, painting or working in tight spaces.
Preferred
- Prior experience in property management or condominium/housing environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Willingness to learn and pursue trade certifications (EPA, HVAC, Electrical, etc.).
