Responsibilities of Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA):
- Provide skilled therapeutic intervention and services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Follow all regulations and guidelines including compliance with confidentiality and HIPPA.
- Adheres to discussed scheduled hours and professionally conducts themselves at all times.
- Provide documentation of patient’s condition, and provide caregiver/patient education as appropriate.
- Regularly discuss with the supervising Physical Therapist the patient’s progress and any concerns or guidance needed.
- Ensure safe treatment practices and monitor patients’ engagement and responses to treatment modifications as necessary.
Qualifications for Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA):
- Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license
- Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
