Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of practice
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long-Term Care setting preferred (new grads welcome)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, and mobility programs
- Document patient progress accurately and timely in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support resident goals
- Educate residents and families on therapy plans and safety techniques
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment
