Purpose
Responsible for the cost-effective, efficient sourcing and pricing of customer contract proposals.
Principal Accountabilities
- Source aerospace fastener product
- Price aerospace fastener product taking into consideration current market costs
- Follow up regularly, ensuring best market cost is being received from suppliers
- Assess and mitigate risk factors when determining best pricing options based on the unique factors of each customer’s proposal
- Work closely with team and provide continuous input on product market trends
Nature and Scope
This is a position for an experienced, excellent negotiator and communicator, who is a creative and analytical thinker. He or she must be able to work independently using sound judgment in decision processes. At the same time, they must also be able to work closely with team and share ideas/feedback, as well as be comfortable in asking questions as they relate to market pricing/trends. The individual will spend most of their time sitting, using standard office equipment. Mental demands include: working in a self-motivated environment, while maintaining the utmost accuracy, and utilizing problem solving skills daily.
Requirements
Background Experience and Qualifications
- High School Diploma, some college preferred
- Strong aerospace fastener product and pricing knowledge
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong organization skills- capability to prioritize/self-schedule bid process time-lines on multiple customer bids
- Basic competency in Outlook and Microsoft Word
- Strong mathematical skills
- The ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to continue training and development to self-enhance personal performance.
