A Junior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks, assisting with application testing, and collaborating with development teams to improve product quality. This role blends programming skills with test automation expertise and typically supports both manual and automated testing needs for software projects
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and tools for application testing.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing methodologies into the software development process.
- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure quality and testability of software solutions.
- Identify, isolate, and track bugs during testing phases.
- Document test results and assist in troubleshooting with various teams.
- Implement CI/CD processes for efficient testing and deployment.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new automation technologies and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with team members and, when needed, stakeholders.
- Attend meetings, build tools and frameworks, and help design and execute test plans.
- Solid fundamentals in programming (preferably Java, Python, or C#).
- Experience using automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit).
- Basic SQL and database knowledge.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and creating test scripts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Clear communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing technologies.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify, reproduce, and resolve bugs.
