Picture a day that starts with a pre-trip on your company vehicle, a quick check-in with the Maintenance Supervisor, and a route that takes you to decentralized wastewater treatment and collection assets that keep neighborhoods running. You’ll balance systems, track readings, respond to service calls, and keep equipment humming — rain or shine.
What you’ll do
- Operate, maintain, and repair wastewater equipment such as pumps, motors, and valves.
- Troubleshoot issues, perform routine maintenance, and promptly address leaks or malfunctions.
- Perform underground utility line locates per Tennessee 811 guidelines.
- Conduct tank inspections and complete required visits to treatment sites.
- Monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges to maintain proper system balance.
- Assist with maintenance and repair activities across the collection system.
- Respond to service calls in the field.
- Maintain accurate records for maintenance and repairs.
What you’ll bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Wastewater BNS/Collection systems license required after 1 year.
- Experience with decentralized wastewater collection and treatment systems is preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with an understanding of wastewater treatment processes.
- Ability to operate a variety of equipment safely and effectively.
- Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of relevant safety procedures and regulations.

Work environment
