Wastewater Maintenance Technician/Operator

Title: Operator FLSA: Non-exempt Status: Full-Time

Reports to: Operations and Maintenance Supervisor

Servicing Middle Tennessee Area - We currently have positions available in Wilson and Williamson Counties

Knowledge/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Wastewater BNS/Collection systems license required after 1 year
• Experience with decentralized wastewater collection and treatment system desired but not required

Essential Functions

• Operate, maintain, and repair various wastewater equipment, including pumps, motors, valves
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, perform routine maintenance, and address any leaks or malfunctions promptly
• Perform line locates per Tennessee 811 guidelines
• Perform tank inspections
• Respond to service calls
• Perform required visits and maintenance /repair at treatment sites
• Monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges to ensure proper system balance
• Assist in maintenance and repair of collection system
• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, and ability to operate various equipment.

Working Conditions

Outdoor work in all weather conditions. Some heavy lifting required. Company vehicle / cell phone is provided.
