- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel as required.
- Adhere to treatment schedules, clinical and billing documentation, and attend work-related meetings.
- Participate in patient care conferences and related meetings.
- Refer patients to other disciplines or agencies as needed.
- Consult with rehabilitation team members to select appropriate therapeutic regimens.
- Adapt treatment plans to individual patient needs.
- Ensure a safe environment and eliminate fire and safety hazards.
- Order necessary supplies and equipment.
- Clean, maintain, and report equipment repair needs.
- Prioritize patient service to provide high-quality care in a compassionate atmosphere.
- Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses, treatment plans, and goals.
- Design and apply adaptive devices, and train patients in their use.
- Select activities suited to patients' abilities and interests.
- Instruct patients in skills for functional activities and evaluate their progress.
- Perform routine reexaminations to adjust treatment plans.
