- Registered Occupational Therapist in the State of Michigan.
- Prior employment experience in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience working with school-aged students preferred.
- Knowledge of special education procedures, IEPs, Section 504 Plans, and school-based therapy services.
- Ability to conduct functional, behavioral, and standardized assessments.
- Strong written documentation, reporting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to provide consistent on-site support in a school setting.
- Maintain residence within a 40-minute commute to ensure timely and reliable service delivery.
- Assess students in suspected areas of disability in accordance with the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE).
- Evaluate students’ functional abilities and develop occupational profiles using standardized assessments, skilled observation, checklists, histories, interviews, and other appropriate tools.
- Interpret evaluation results and prepare written evaluation reports, progress reports, and recommendations in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Develop occupationally based intervention plans based on student needs, evaluation results, IEP goals, and Section 504 requirements.
- Plan, deliver, and document direct occupational therapy services in accordance with student IEPs and Section 504 Plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary and IEPT meetings to review evaluation results, integrate findings with other disciplines, and support development of IEP goals, objectives, and intervention plans.
- Coordinate with IEPT members to determine appropriate goals and objectives for students.
- Consult with school personnel, parents, and other individuals involved in the education and treatment of students.
- Maintain accurate and professional documentation related to services, progress, evaluations, and compliance requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.
