Linux Systems Administrator (JR / Mid / Senior)

Adela Technologies is seeking Junior, Mid-Level, and Senior Linux Systems Administrators to support secure, DoD-aligned environments.

This role may be fully on-site or hybrid, depending on the specific contract and mission requirements. Candidates should be comfortable working in classified environments and adaptable to varying on-site expectations.

• Active DoD Secret clearance required
• Active TS/SSBI preferred, or the ability to obtain TS/SSBI

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems and servers
• Install, configure, and support web and application services (e.g., Tomcat, Apache, Nginx, application middleware)
• Apply and maintain DISA STIGs and security hardening for Linux systems
• Implement system configuration, patching, and security controls in accordance with DoD and Navy policies
• Collaborate with developers, security teams, and engineers to support mission systems
• Troubleshoot OS-level, application-level, and performance issues
• Document configurations, procedures, and changes in accordance with compliance requirements
• (Senior-level roles) Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance on system architecture and best practices

• Hands-on Linux systems administration experience (required)
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux-based services
• Strong troubleshooting skills in secure environments
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs, RMF, and DoD/Navy security standards (preferred)
• CompTIA Security certification required
• Linux OS certification required (e.g., RHCSA/RHCE, Linux , or equivalent)
• Must meet DoD / Navy 8570 compliance for IAT Level II or IAT Level III

(Certification level expectations may vary by role and contract.)

• BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field preferred,
• or equivalent hands-on experience in lieu of a degree

• On-site or hybrid, depending on contract requirements
• All roles support secure, DoD/Navy environments in the greater DC metro area
