Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Counter / Warehouse Associate to join our team. This role involves supporting warehouse operations, order picking, shipping and receiving, and operating heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and familiarity with safety standards such as OSHA. Duties
- Assist with order picking and writing up orders
- Load and unload materials using pallet jacks, forklifts, and 2 wheeler
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts safely and efficiently
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control
- Handle materials with care, including heavy lifting and proper use of mechanical tools
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Support warehouse distribution activities, including load & unload operations
- Assist in inventory management, stock replenishment, and order fulfillment tasks
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving
- Proficiency with RF scanners, warehouse management systems, and heavy equipment operation
- Mechanical knowledge related to material handling equipment such as forkliftt and pallet jacks
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards for warehouse environments
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience with construction or materials handling is a plus
- Familiarity with
picker systems or similar order picking technology is preferred - Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts
- This position requires a dedicated individual committed to maintaining safety standards while ensuring efficient warehouse operations. Prior experience in warehouse management or supervision is beneficial for advancement opportunities.
- Have good phone skills to take orders over the phone and then write them up and pull
- Have knowledge in both the plumbing and heating field is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
