Duties
- Greet patients warmly, perform patient intake procedures, and accurately document medical histories using electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Prepare exam rooms with proper aseptic techniques, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
- Conduct preliminary testing such as visual acuity assessments and intraocular pressure checks to support the optometrist.
- Assist with optical procedures, including lens fitting and adjustments, utilizing optical experience to ensure proper fit and patient comfort.
- Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times.
- Support front desk operations by managing appointment scheduling, verifying insurance information, and handling retail sales of eyewear or accessories when needed.
Qualifications
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically.
- Detail oriented and able to multitask.
- Works well within a team.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
