The Adel DeSoto Minburn Community School District is seeking a highly motivated, quality applicant to work as an early elementary teacher in a Kindergarten classroom at Adel Elementary for the 2026-27 school year. Adel Elementary is a progressive preschool through first grade building with small class sizes and an energetic, passionate staff that currently educates approximately 400 students.
Candidates must lead with humility and strive for continued improvement. Applicants must be highly collaborative and able to analyze student achievement data to make instructional decisions. Requirements
- Valid Iowa Teacher License K-6 Endorsement
- Highly Preferred: Reading Minor or Endorsement
- Belief that each and every learner can achieve and work to make a positive impact in students' lives
- Interest to participate and seek out professional learning opportunities, implement strategies and show a reflective nature to grow professionally
- Knowledge of practices for a general education classroom including current research and evidence-based instructional practices
- Commitment to differentiated instruction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong formative and summative data analysis skills to make instructional decisions
- Effective record keeping and organizational skills
- Knowledge of using technology to enhance learning
