Area Sales Manager – Southeast & Southwest Florida
Overview
The Area Sales Manager will lead and scale our design sales team across Southeast Florida, with expansion into Southwest Florida after the first year. This individual will play a pivotal role in accelerating company growth by hiring, training, and developing high-performing designers while maintaining strong accountability to sales metrics.
In the first 12 months, the Sales Manager will focus on rapidly expanding the Southeast Florida team and improving close rates through effective coaching and performance management. Following this phase, the role will broaden to include building and leading a new sales staff in Southwest Florida.
Key Responsibilities
The Sales Manager will be responsible for:
- Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new sales team members
- Training and developing designers to achieve high close rates and strong consultative selling performance
- Holding salespeople accountable to targets, KPIs, and established sales processes
- Supporting designers during active sales cycles, including customer presentations and deal closure
- Updating and refining product offerings and pricing structures to remain competitive and effective
- Enhancing and optimizing the company’s training program to support consistent onboarding and performance improvement
- Driving a culture of high performance, professionalism, and continuous improvement across the sales organization
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing at least 10 designers
- Proven success in training and developing at least 5 designers
- Strong understanding of consultative sales techniques and customer engagement
- Demonstrated growth mindset and ability to scale a team quickly
- High level of intelligence, judgment, and problem-solving ability
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems and tools. Zoho CRM a plus!
- Highly organized, with exceptional follow-through
- Meticulous and detail-oriented approach to sales operations and team management
