We are looking for an experienced Materials Planner / Production Scheduler, this highly visible, hands-on role plays a critical part in ensuring production efficiency, material availability, on-time delivery, and exceptional customer satisfaction.
As a key member of the Operations team, you will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Purchasing, Operations, Customer Service, and outside vendors to optimize production flow and support customer demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain customer forecasts, master production schedules, and procurement plans based on historical demand and sales opportunities
- Monitor inventory levels and material availability to support uninterrupted production and on-time customer delivery
- Review and adjust production schedules and material requirements in response to changing customer demand
- Coordinate outsourced vendor operations including coating, heat treating, purchased cores, and other external processing activities
- Analyze material shortages, forecast fluctuations, and inventory risks while partnering with Purchasing and Operations to resolve issues proactively
- Maintain accurate ERP system data including bills of materials, planning parameters, and customer part numbers
- Schedule plant production activities based on operational capacity and customer priorities
- Support shipping and receiving operations to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
- Assist customers with order changes, logistics coordination, and quality-related concerns
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and process optimization
Candidates should possess:
5 years of experience:
