Location: Windsor, CT (On-Site)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

What You'll Do:

As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing processes and documentation that support printed circuit board (PCB) assembly and electronic manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain manufacturing process documentation, routing, and work instructions.
• Review customer documentation and translate requirements into effective manufacturing processes.
• Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) and convert customer BOMs into internal systems.
• Generate process documentation using manufacturing execution and documentation systems.
• Support ERP/MRP system activities, process setup, and manufacturing data accuracy.
• Create and maintain SMT pick-and-place and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) programs.
• Manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs/ECOs) and maintain revision control throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
• Assign internal part numbers and maintain engineering documentation standards.
• Coordinate stencil procurement utilizing customer-provided Gerber data.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Test, and Engineering teams to resolve technical and process-related issues.
• Provide engineering support for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, quality improvements, and operational efficiency.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and employee training efforts.
• Support compliance requirements within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Travel: Less than 5%

What You'll Need:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
• 3-5 years of engineering, manufacturing engineering, or process documentation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with Bills of Material (BOMs), manufacturing routings, engineering change processes, and production documentation.
• Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn new software systems and manufacturing tools.
• Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems and supporting manufacturing process setup.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within PCB, PCBA, EMS, electronics manufacturing, or related industries.
• Experience with Factory Logix or similar MES/manufacturing documentation software.
• Knowledge of SMT manufacturing, pick-and-place programming, and AOI programming.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD, or other engineering design tools.
• Understanding of IPC standards, quality systems, and regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience working with Gerber files and stencil generation.
• ITAR-regulated manufacturing experience.
