The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who oversees the financial and accounting functions of the company. Responsible for maintaining relationship with bank, legal insurance representatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversees all aspects of the accounting processes culminating in the monthly & annual closing of the finances, books and records.
- Establishes, or recommends to management, major corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies for company.
- Recommends modifications to existing corporate programs.
- Prepares reports which summarize and formulate company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present and expected operations.
- Directs preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
- Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
- •Provides management with timely reviews of organization’s financial status.
- Directs determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets.
- Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions.
- Arranges for audits of company’s accounts and preparation of the annual tax returns.
- Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
- Reviews contracts, agreements and liases with legal counsel when necessary
- Directs the implementation and maintenance of the manufacturing accounting software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 5 - 10 years of related experience
- GAAP knowledge
- Must have month end closing experience
- Previous supervisory experience
- Experience maintaining relationship with bank, legal insurance representatives
- Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities
Salary : $135,000 - $150,000
