The Company:
ADEC’s services revolve around one mission: Empowering people with disabilities to live fulfilled lives in their communities. We serve more than 1,200 individuals each year through more than a dozen programs, ranging from music therapy for children to supervised group living for adults.
The Position:
Summer Camp Manager is responsible for:
- Managing all day-to-day summer camp activities at their assigned location. Model and ensure proper active treatment for all campers.
- Developing and implementing a schedule for assisting clients in the areas of personal hygiene and appropriate grooming skills.
- Engaging in assessment and teaching activities so that prescriptive training goals will be implemented for each individual served.
- Facilitating the implementation of the PCISP by providing active treatment that allows individuals to achieve goals and experience new opportunities.
- Maintaining a system of evaluation and progress of the client's performance against the goals as set forth in the PCISP through proper documentation.
- Supervising, training, developing, and completing performance reviews for assigned DSPs and Team Lead.
- Developing and maintaining a positive working relationship with community resources, co-workers, parents and guardians, and all ADEC personnel.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working with individuals with development or intellectual disabilities
- Previous management experience strongly preferred
- Ability to lift 60 pounds
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
- Pass criminal background check and have a negative drug test
ADEC's summer camp runs from early June to early August. Summer Camp hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm.
