We are seeking a highly skilled Databricks Administrator with strong expertise in Snowflake, Databricks, and SQL. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing data platforms, designing robust data models, and ensuring scalable data architecture. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS cloud services and the ability to optimize data workflows for performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage Databricks environments, including cluster setup, configuration, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to design and implement data models and data architecture that support business needs.
- Integrate and manage Snowflake with Databricks for seamless data processing and analytics.
- Ensure data security, compliance, and governance across platforms.
- Optimize SQL queries and workflows for performance and scalability.
- Work with AWS services (S3, IAM, EC2, Lambda, etc.) to support data pipelines and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Automate administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency using scripts and tools.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks administration (clusters, jobs, notebooks, security).
- Proficiency in Snowflake for data warehousing and integration.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and data architecture principles.
- Strong background in SQL with ability to write complex queries and optimize performance.
- Experience with AWS cloud services (S3, IAM, EC2, Lambda, Glue preferred).
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline orchestration.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Databricks.
- Familiarity with Python/Scala for data engineering tasks.
- Exposure to data governance frameworks and best practices.
- Certification in AWS or Databricks is a plus.
