Job Description
Addition Therapeutics is seeking a researcher with experience in T cell engineering and gene editing, either in industry or an academic setting. This individual would have experience in both primary lymphocyte/PBMC culture and assays required to characterize edited T cells.
About The Role
The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include:
- Execution of experiments involving lymphocyte engineering, gene editing, immunology, synthetic biology, molecular biology, and cell biology.
- Collaborating on team projects.
- Communicating, documenting, and presenting work.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Molecular and Cell Biology, Bioengineering, Immunology, or related fields with 3 years experience engineering T cells in industry or academia.
- Experience in primary human T cell and PBMC culture and engineering.
- T cell functional assays (e.g. cytotoxicity, exhaustion, activation)
- Experience in multi-color flow cytometry, DNA and RNA readout methods (ddPCR, RT-PCR, etc), and culture of cell lines.
- Hands-on experience with in vivo models of CAR T cell efficacy and safety studies
- Organized, motivated, and disciplined when it comes to hands-on work in the lab
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Thrives in a fast-moving, results-oriented startup environment
- Flexible, cooperative, can-do attitude
- Experience in non-viral gene delivery
- RNA delivery and expression of transgenes
- Experience in RNA synthesis and purification by in vitro transcription
