Vergennes Union High School is seeking a high school Mathematics educator for a full-time opening in the high school mathematics department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:>/b>
- Deep understanding of the CCSS in math and the standards for mathematical practice.
- Understanding and proven application of Proficiency-Based Learning
- Demonstrable understanding of formative assessment and differentiation
- Ability to positively contribute to an environment that responds to students academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and physical needs
- Experience collaborating with department colleagues, special educators and cross-disciplinary teachers on curriculum, instruction, and assessment
- Experience and a desire to implement and develop interdisciplinary learning opportunities
- Experience communicating and partnering closely with families regarding student progress and supports
- Effective integration of 21st-century skills into the learning environment
